|
WebCal is a free Web-based calendar program to help you keep track of your appointments, meetings, birthdays, etc. It uses perl cgi scripts to generate all the web pages, a flat file database system, and a bit of Javascript to tie things together. Main features include: Multiple calendars, Password protection, Calendars can be private, public or open, File locking, Flexible scheduling allows for easily adding repetitive tasks with only one entry, Multiple language support, Multiple views (Year, Month, Week, or Day), Ability to subscribe to other WebCal calendars, Administrative control, Runs under mod_perl, and Email Reminders on Items.
Most scripts are free or open source. But some have the full source code available for download yet itīs required to have permission to use them and most often the price will be listed. If there is a script license e.g. GNU or GPL then it will also be listed. |
