dbSearch allows users to conduct keyword searches on a plain text database (tab/comma/etc - delimited file) by selected fields. You can control what fields should be searchable, search options for any specific field and output format. It can also create a log of what exactly people are searching on your site. In addition, dbSearch1.2 lets you search unlimited number of databases and format search results output page differently for each database.
Most scripts are free or open source. But some have the full source code available for download yet itīs required to have permission to use them and most often the price will be listed. If there is a script license e.g. GNU or GPL then it will also be listed. |
