Sometimes you need to run through all ASCII (plain text) or HTML files located on your server to find records that contain certain word or phrase. You want to find everything relevant to the subject regardless of what file it got lost in. This search engine will do just that: it will dutifully screen all the ASCII/HTML files in the directory you choose and below it and give you a list of links to files that contain the search phrase or keyword. Try running it on your server - you may find something lost so long ago you already forgot it ever was there.
Most scripts are free or open source. But some have the full source code available for download yet it´s required to have permission to use them and most often the price will be listed. If there is a script license e.g. GNU or GPL then it will also be listed. |
