LoopLink brings together a forum system, news articles, and forums in one clean, easy-to-use interface. It's also flexible enough so that new features can be added easily -- there are already modules such as a file manager planned for a near-future release. In addition to a name change, version 2.2's biggest addition is the event calendar. Each user has his own calendar, and admins can add entries for an entire group or user level at once. The product site itself is a live installation of the program, so the best way to get a feel for what it can do is to take a look around.
