PHPMyAnnu will allow you to manage a Yahoo style directory on your site. It can easily integrated with the design of your site. It includes an admin interface to manage categories as well as subcategories on several levels. The sites can be added either via the administration or by the visitors (the user-submitted links must be approved by the admin before appearing in the directory). Other features include: an internal search engine, a link click counter, voting system and links checker.
Most scripts are free or open source. But some have the full source code available for download yet it´s required to have permission to use them and most often the price will be listed. If there is a script license e.g. GNU or GPL then it will also be listed. |
