It is a simple but fast class of PHP functions that generates a HTML source from a template file which has additional tags (e.g. or ) and specific variable marking. These additional characters are interpreted as commands by the php class and are replaced by appropriate assigned variables or loops of variables and then are simply displayed with the rest of the HTML code from the *.tpl file. phpEngine is a good way to stop writing HTML and PHP code in the same file which then seems to be messed up and difficult to understand. Simply stating, if you use the phpEngine, you will be able to separate your PHP functions from HTML code.
Most scripts are free or open source. But some have the full source code available for download yet itīs required to have permission to use them and most often the price will be listed. If there is a script license e.g. GNU or GPL then it will also be listed. |
